ASUU Strike Begins

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday 14th February 2022 commenced its one-month warning strike over the government's failure to meet its demands.

The announcement was made at a briefing with the journalist at the National Secretariat of the union in Lagos by the President of ASUU, professor Emmanuel   Osodeke.

Likewise,  The union said it will not suspend it on going strike until salaries owed its member are and government shows reasonable commitment by starting with 100bn Naira this year.
